Rise Again  Click here to download chords

No man is an island, but I’m in the waves

And the water’s rising, and I feel right at home

Wanna walk on horizons, but Jesus hasn’t called me from the boat.

It’s hard to stand firm when you’re on the run

Been tryin’ to feel pain, but long ago my heart went numb

Been tryin’ to heal, but don’t know where this blood is comin’ from

I might be dead but I’ll overcome

I wanna live on the edge of dyin’

I wanna bleed til these bones are dry

Wanna burn til there’s nothing left

And I will rise again

I wanna scream til my lungs explode

Fight the devil til it kills my soul

Burn in hell til there’s nothing left

And I will rise again.

Don’t know who I’m fighting, just dodging bullets left and right

Searchin’ for reflections, seein’ shadows without light

I’ve heard your Sundays, but don’t remember them Monday morning

I might be dead but I’ll overcome

I wanna live on the edge of dyin’

I wanna bleed til these bones are dry

Wanna burn til there’s nothing left

And I will rise again

I wanna scream til my lungs explode

Fight the devil til it kills my soul

Burn in hell til there’s nothing left

And I will rise again.

Tell me where are the wonders you promised with this life

I try to pray away the demons but I guess you need something more than a sigh

Well I’ll be your Isaac, I’ll even help you bring down the knife

I wanna live on the edge of dyin’

I wanna bleed til these bones are dry

Wanna burn til there’s nothing left

And I will rise again

I wanna scream til my lungs explode

Fight the devil til it kills my soul

Burn in hell til there’s nothing left

And I will rise again.

Long Time

It’s been a long time since feelin’ the wind blow

It’s been a long time since I’ve been out of shadows

Praying for signs miracles and wonders

Eyes on the ground not knowing I found the answer

Come all you sisters

Come all you brothers

Come to the water

Lift your eyes

Live your life

It’s been a long time since seein’ the sun shine

It’s been a long time since I’ve known what it feels like

Beggin’ for change, tryin’ to raise myself

Not knowing that hope rises from hope I don’t have.

Come all you sisters

Come all you brothers

Come to the water

Lift your eyes

Live your life

Come all you sinners

Come all you lovers

Come to the water

Lift your eyes

Live your life

It’s been a long time since feelin’ the wind blow

Come all you sisters

Come all you brothers

Come to the water

Lift your eyes

Live your life

Come all you sinners

Come all you lovers

Come to the water

Lift your eyes

Live your life

Come all you sisters

Come all you brothers

Come to the water

Lift your eyes

Live your life

Come all you sinners

Come all you lovers

Lay down your troubles

Lift your eyes

Live your life

Crossroads

Like a tall drink of water from an empty well

Honey drippin’ from the tongue of the tales she tell

Ain’t no angel sent form heaven, no

She’s a woman with the devil’s soul

And the devil is callin’ me back home

Forty nights in the desert from where she came

No food no water just the love she made

Ain’t no angel sent from heaven, no

She’s a woman with the devil’s sou

lAnd the devil is callin’ me back home

Here I’m walkin’ at the crossroads callin’

And I don’t know which way to go

Here at the crossroads where it’s love or my soul

Looks like love, she’s callin’ me back home

Saw the flood ‘fore I felt the rain come down

Then I watched as her levee broke this town

I’m a man and I’m standing tall

I will fight after every fall

But understand that I’m just a man, that’s all

Crossroads callin’ to a dead man walkin’

And love, she’s callin’ me back home

Fade Away

Take a look around. You think it’s life you’ve found.

Don’t know that you’re alone

You’ve finally found the dream that girls and money bring

But you’re livin’ all alone

Getting cash and another high.

Living fast for a name in lights

But life keeps fading away

Lookin’ good for the camera lights

Fake smiles and the hazy nights

& life keeps fading away

Playin’ the game again where pretty people win

Livin’ high & dyin’ slow

You can make it rain for days & you can buy yourself some praise

Gain the world but lose your soul

Getting cash and another high.

Living fast for a name in lights

But life keeps fading away

Lookin’ good for the camera lights

Fake smiles and the hazy nights

& life keeps fading away

This is dedicated to all the frustrated underpaid makin’ minimum wage

Stuck between angry and afraid, yeah maybe it’s a phase

But what will happen when that maybe changes to amaze

With no way out feelin’ crazy and deranged because all the

sunshine’s buried underneath the rain.

I’ve been through a few storms, every new fad to the new norm, live and I learn like a school dorm.

But I’m writin’ til I find the quotes & write words that can try to show you how to try to cope & stay afloat until you find your boat

Don’t exchange hope for a line of coke

I’m bein vocal when approaching you, what am I supposed to do?

Life is a game but the player isn’t coachable

So I made a choice to not do it for the social group & give my all international or local show.

I’m tryin’ to talk but you’re tellin’ me to back off. Please dog not today you have problem but you wanna run away like a model on a cat-walk

So here’s what I gotta say, that it helps build character. When you goin’ through it like a hallway, feelin’ like a big fish in a small place, no room to grow, feelin’ insignificant and out of tune like a bad instrument. This is when you’re into it, faith through discipline, and never be homeless when God is where you’re livin in. I know that in the everyday stress gets crazy. When life is a female dog, through Christ she’s a lady. Here I can prove, no need to convince, everything makes sense when you listen to the music. I don’t do it for the thank you or you’re welcomes. When in the end of my hope comes I wanna hear ‘Servant well done.
